Hunstanton is the ideal base to enjoy Norfolk's superb coastline. It is renowned for its award winning beach, unique striped cliffs and magnificent sunsets. West Norfolk's coastline has vast streches of soft sandy beaches, great for lazy summer days, but also fantastic for invigorating winter walks.

Places to Visit

Hunstanton has award winning gardens, a funfair, putting and crazy golf, Sealife Sanctuary and sea tours, plus all the seaside favourites. Attractions nearby include Norfolk Lavender, Snettisham Park, Bircham Windmill, Royal Sandringham and Houghton Hall. At King's Lynn explore a wealth of heritage, with cobbled lanes flanked by medieval merchants' houses and two magnificent market places. Downham Market is a great base to explore the countryside, waterways and local attractions.

Hunstanton’s Princess Theatre, King’s Lynn Arts Centre and The Corn Exchange, with shows, exhibitions and films.

Shopping

Hunstanton sells a wealth of gifts, souvenirs, local crafts and antiques, and has a Sunday market. In King's Lynn a mix of old historic and modern shopping areas are complemented by markets on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Downham Market has thriving Friday and Saturday markets as well as a craft and collectables market held on some Fridays and every Saturday.

Eating Out

There is a great choice of high quality places to eat including lots of friendly village pubs.

Recreation & Sport

West Norfolk provides great opportunities for fishing, bird watching, walking and golf. Hunstanton is host to top Watersports competitions and activities, sit back and watch the action or even have a go! The Oasis at Hunstanton offers a 25m warm water swimming pool with separate toddler pool, eco ice skating and an indoor Fun Castle play area. There are leisure centres in Downham Market and King's Lynn offering excellent leisure facilities.
