Heritage hunters will enjoy our Norman castles, Tudor mansion and Victorian Pier. Don't miss the LC Swansea, complete with water park, spa and the UK's first standing surf machine! Located directly opposite another one of Swansea's star attractions, the National Waterfront Museum.

Entertainment

Entertainment includes theatres, casinos, nightclubs and cinemas. Our nightlife hotspots are The Café Quarter on Wind Street and SA1 Waterfront. The seaside resort of Mumbles with its speciality shops, pubs and restaurants, is popular during the evenings.

Shopping

Shops in the City range from famous names to boutiques selling everything from lovespoons to surf gear. The traditional indoor market is Wales’ largest - try our local delicacies of fresh cockles and laverbread (seaweed)!

Choose from Swansea’s vibrant Café Quarter, SA1 Waterfront or enjoy lunch in one of Gower’s country pubs, - ranging from Welsh fusion to international dishes.

Recreation & Sport

Our coastline and countryside are perfect for water sports, walking and cycling. Excellent indoor sports facilities include the LC, the Wales National Pool and the 20,000-seater Liberty Stadium, home to Premier League team 'Swansea City'.

Road

M4 direct, links with M50, M5, M42 and M6.

Rail

London Paddington direct in under 3 hours.

Sea

Fishguard and Pembroke Dock (1.5 hours drive): offer regular crossings to Rosslare.
Dover and Folkestone (Channel Tunnel): 5 hours drive.

Air

Cardiff: 45 minutes
