Destination

Situated in what is regarded as the driest part of the country, Southend is the nearest seaside resort to London, with easy rail access via 2 main rail lines, or by road via the M25 and A127 or A13.
Southend is great for a fun day out, plus, with so much to offer, there's plenty to do for those who stay longer. Southend’s seven miles of beautiful foreshore stretches from Leigh-on-Sea to Shoeburyness. The coastline here includes beaches that are some of the finest the East of England has to offer, including International Blue Flag and Quality Coast Award winners.

Southend Pier (The longest pleasure Pier in the World), Southend Pier Museum, Adventure Island fun park with over 60 rides and attractions, Ten-Pin - 30 lanes of tenpin bowling, bars, restaurant and amusements, Sea-Life Adventure (with displays of marine life, restaurant and Little Tykes Activity area), plus museums, art galleries and a planetarium.

Entertainment

The Cliffs Pavilion, with a 1630 seat auditorium with a year-round programme of concerts, major ballet companies, touring West End musicals and famous pop and jazz artists. The Palace Theatre, an array of hotspots and 3 casinos.

Shopping

Southend has a choice of nationally famous stores and exclusive and specialised boutiques, providing a comprehensive range of shopping facilities. The Royals Shopping Centre & The Victoria are under cover, giving visitors a comfortable shopping environment, whilst Southend High Street is home to the popular farmers' markets.
