Destination

Rhyl and Prestatyn form the coastal part of the County of Denbighshire, which runs down through the Vale of Clwyd, south west as far as Corwen and then east to the popular tourist town of Llangollen. Along the way down, it takes in the historic towns of Rhuddlan, Denbigh and Ruthin, each with its own castle, and the cathedral city of St. Asaph.

Some of the country’s top stars appear at the Rhyl Pavilion Theatre which is a must for entertainment. Both Rhyl and Prestatyn have a wide range of pubs, clubs and nightclubs, a cinema and various events to suit all tastes.

Shopping

Both Rhyl and Prestatyn have a pedestrianised shopping centre with specialist shops and national high street stores; between Rhyl and Rhuddlan is a retail park. Prestatyn also boasts an open air market every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Shopmobility services are available for those with special needs in Rhyl.

Whether you fancy afternoon tea or a substantial lunch, Rhyl and Prestatyn play host to a wide range of quality eateries.

Getting There

Road

Served by the A55 expressway and the A548 Coast Road, Rhyl and Prestatyn have easy access to the M56 and M6 motorways. Just under 2 hours' drive from Manchester and Birmingham.

Rail

Rhyl and Prestatyn both have railway stations. Arriva and Virgin trains operate direct to Crewe, Cardiff, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

Sea

Holyhead for ferries to Ireland.

Air

Liverpool/Manchester airport are both less than an hour’s drive away.
