Destination Rural England at its finest - towns and villages of honey coloured stone set among green, rolling hills and secluded river valleys. What's on Offer Places to Visit As well as picturesque towns like Burford, Chipping Norton, Witney and Woodstock, the Oxfordshire Cotswolds has a range of attractions covering every age of history and every visitor interest: from the grandeur of Blenheim Palace to the tiny one roomed Swinford Museum in Filkins; from the gardens of Rousham or the animals of Cotswold Wildlife Park to the engines of Combe Mill or the Oxford Bus Museum; from the prehistoric Rollright Stones to the recently opened Crocodiles of the World. Entertainment The Theatre Chipping Norton boasts an eclectic programme of live theatre, music, dance and comedy, culminating in the famous annual pantomime. Many of our local Cotswold pubs also offer regular music evenings - as well as the chance to try your hand at 'Aunt Sally', the traditional, local throwing game. Shopping With FREE parking throughout the area, there's no need to rush your shopping! Our high streets are still alive with unique independent shops, free from the uniformity of so many larger towns. The Oxfordshire Cotswolds is an established centre for antiques and fine shopping. There are also traditional crafts on show - fine handmade ceramics at Aston Pottery or cloth at Cotswold Woollen Weavers. Eating Out As a richly rural area we’re proud of the many locally produced delicacies. You can find these at the traditional Farmers’ Markets or at the excellent farm shops in the area, like Foxbury Farm or Daylesford Organic. Or perhaps you'd prefer to pop into a tearoom and discover the sheer indulgence of a Cotswold cream tea. Many of the pubs and restaurants proudly feature local produce on their menus. Conference & Business Facilities From unique venues, like the Orangery at Blenheim Palace, to purpose built contemporary meeting rooms. Accommodation The Oxfordshire Cotswolds offers a wide selection of accommodation from traditional, Cotswold stone inns to intimate B&Bs and boutique hotels, to luxury hotels and self catering cottages.
