Destination

The coastal resort of Lytham St Annes is on the North West Coast of Lancashire, three miles from Blackpool. The area of Fylde consists of Lytham, St Annes-on-Sea and the rural countryside with small picturesque villages. St Annes-on-Sea is a traditional seaside resort with Victorian pier, quality
accommodation and fine floral displays, a gentler and more peaceful location than Blackpool. Lytham is a high quality destination with an attractive Victorian shopping centre and an expansive seafront where the Windmill is situated. Lytham has recently been awarded a 'Champion of Champions' award by the Royal Horticultural Society and they quoted 'one of the greenest and cleanest and most beautiful places in Britain to live'. The rural area of Fylde provides a contrasting tourism experience offering countryside pursuits such as walking, cycling, horse riding and boating. A rich heritage within the towns and villages has helped to make the Fylde countryside a destination in its own right.
