Amenities

Much of Ceredigion’s 60-mile coastline is designated Heritage Coast and is dotted with small villages, ports and towns with a rich seafaring history. Boat trips, or walks along the new Ceredigion Coast Path, provide a unique insight into the creation of Britain’s first Marine Heritage Coast.

Ceredigion’s magnificent beaches regularly top the list of Seaside Awards, International Blue Flag and Green Coast Awards.

Shopping

Life in Ceredigion still largely evolves around the village shop and weekly market day visits to the main towns. Many shops are family run, providing friendly service, shopping trips and a wide variety of goods. However, Ceredigion’s main towns also have their fair share of well-known high street names.

Throughout Ceredigion there are many small manufacturers of fancy goods and specialist products. For Celtic crafts, seek out shops such as Canolfan Crefft Cymru at Tregaron while the woollen mills of southern Ceredigion still produce flour and distinctive woollen goods.

Eating Out

Some of the finest Welsh food is served in local hotels, restaurants, country pubs and inns with Welsh lamb and beef featuring prominently, also fresh fish and Cardigan Bay seafood.
